Hi Ed,
I am still learning and so are the fish! The male is fabulous... he
has almost tripled in size since he arrived and has not been overly
aggressive with the females.... he just gets a bit anxious as they get
ready to lay eggs and chases them around the tank a bit. I'm hoping that
we will be able to afford a larger colony tank next year.
We have about 215 fry now in the 2 to 6 week age range. They are
tremendous hybrids!!! If you sit still for a couple hours you can watch
them grow! They go from fry to micro-miniature adults in less than a
week. The oldest juveniles were hatched/born 9/15 and are running 2.5 to
3 inches. I haven't been weighing them, they are nearly impossible to
catch. They are in one of the 3 ft x 4 ft x 4 ft tanks and even with a
large net... they are fast!
I'll send some new pictures soon,
Jerry
Here is a link to some new videos of your hybrids at 6 months!
